Hirayama Ikuo Museum of Art
Hirayama Ikuo Museum of Art is a gallery showcasing the works of Ikuo Hirayama, a representative Japanese painter. Born in Setoda Town in 1930, Hirayama grew up amidst the rich natural beauty of the Seto Inland Sea, with its blue waters and lush green islands. It can be said that the sensibility of the painter Ikuo Hirayama was nurtured by the climate of the Seto Inland Sea. The museum introduces Hirayama's upbringing and precious paintings from his boyhood, as well as displaying raw materials such as sketches and drafts, and works from his later years.
